Reese, you are seven months old!

Sorry for skipping your six month update! Another mommy fail. You and your sister keep me super busy & sometimes I put these blogs on the back burner - which I really shouldn't do!

At your six-month doctor's appointment you weighed in at 16 pounds, 13 ounces & 27" long. Which basically means that you are average for your age & growing perfectly! The doctor was really impressed with your developmental skills & the fact that you only cried for about 60 seconds after your shots. You're my little champ!

Since my last post, you have transformed into a curious, energetic, full-of-life little girl! You are able to sit up on your own for long periods of time. This includes sitting in high chairs when we go out to eat - which you absolutely love! You can scoot across the living room with ease - even though I wouldn't exactly call it crawling, you definitely get where you want to go. You babble like crazy. We hear "mama" and "dada" but it usually isn't directed at the right person... so we aren't counting either as your first word just yet.

Last month you rode in an airplane for the first time and did so well! I don't think you cried a single time & everyone sitting around us raved about your (and your sister's) behavior. They couldn't believe it was your first time traveling!

Over the past couple weeks you've developed the cutest little crinkled-nose smile that just melts my heart! You also start hyperventilating when you get really excited about something - which is so adorable. It is so easy to make you smile and you're such an easygoing baby.

You haven't met a baby food yet that you don't enjoy. Some of your favorites right now are: Hawaiian Delight (banana & pineapple), pears, carrots, mangoes, sweet potatoes, peach cobbler, green beans & applesauce. You've had a taste or two of your dad's sweet tea... you absolutely loved it, so I think it's official that you're a Hampton!

More proof that you're a Hampton, you love your sleep! You're still sleeping a solid 12 hours every night.

Here are some (okay, a ton) of recent pictures:

Reese, you are five months old!

I'm so sorry I didn't do a 4 month update! I kept putting it off & never got around to it. The good news, though? That means the end of this post will be jam-packed with adorable pictures of you!

You weighed in at 13 pounds, 11 ounces & were 25" long at your four month doctor's appointment. I put you on the baby scale and the nurse said "well, she's just a tiny little thing, isn't she?" You're perfect though -- a little small for your age, but not to a level that's concerning. Your pediatrician said that developmentally you're right on track & thought you were doing great!

You are still in 3-6 month clothes & believe it or not, still wearing some of your 0-3 month pants!
You eat 5-6 ounces of formula every few hours & will be trying out baby food for the first time this week. You've already had tiny tastes of yogurt & ice cream -- and were big fans of both! Starting baby food is kind of bittersweet for me -- I'm excited to see your reactions to new foods, but it also reminds me how quickly you're growing up! I'm sure I'll feel this way about all of your milestones! Hopefully in next month's post I can report some of your new favorite foods. :)

You started rolling over shortly after my last blog post! We can tell how anxious you are to start crawling & try to keep up with your big sister. It's so easy to get a smile out of you these days, too! You're definitely one of the happiest babies I've ever seen.

You currently love watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse with Caroline, playing peek-a-boo with daddy & keeping mommy company in the kitchen while she cooks. You fit in so perfectly with our little family! You are currently referred to as "Reese Cup" or "Baby Reese" the majority of the time.

You will also be going on your first plane ride this month! You're going with me, Caroline & Grammie Arlene to New Hampshire for my uncle's wedding. A lot of people are looking forward to meeting you! I'm hoping that you enjoy the plane ride & are as laid back on the trip as you are here at home. :)

Here are some of my favorite pictures from the past couple months! As you'll be able to see, even though you're still tiny, you're growing like crazy & are such a beautiful baby!
