Reese Cup, I'm happy to report that you are officially mobile! In your last post I mentioned that you were "army crawling" all over the house. Well, that turned into full-fledged crawling when you turned 9-months-old. You are really fast, too! If you see something across the room that you want, you'll move those little arms and legs like crazy and get there in just a few short seconds. You are pulling up on furniture, toy boxes, anything that you can -- you're just a little apprehensive to let go & try to stand at this point.
You went to the pediatrician a couple weeks ago & she said you are absolutely perfect! She was very happy with your growth, development and sweet personality. You weighed in at 19 pounds, 9 ounces & were 28.5" long. The nurse actually called you "tall"... something your daddy and I never thought we would hear about one of our children! ;)
You are old enough to actually play with your big sister now & it's so much fun to watch you guys together. I think your favorite thing to do is crawl to Caroline's room and get into all the toys she's left on the floor (which is usually a good amount)!
We still haven't heard a first word from you. You constantly babble about "mama" and "dada", and once we heard you repeat the word "cookie" -- but nothing solid yet. I'm waiting for the day you reach for one of us and say it -- or say it as one of us walks in the room. That will be so special!
You still eat baby food, but you definitely prefer finger foods at this point. Some favorites are small noodles, watermelon, shredded cheese, peas, carrots, baby puffs, bananas, Cheerios, eggs, pancakes and toast. You still have another three months of formula & then we'll switch you to whole milk.
Reese, you currently have 8 teeth -- 4 on top and 4 on bottom. You're still fitting in your 6-9 month clothes, but we have filled your closet with some 9-12 month stuff because I know the transition is coming soon. Still in size 3 diapers. You're growing like crazy -- not a bad thing, but a little bittersweet for your mommy!
